Lesson 1: Introduction to Trade Issues
Lesson Objectives
To introduce some of the key issues within trade and aid Lesson Tasks 1. Watch the video opposite about why global trade is unfair. 2. Look at the gallery images to the right. For each cartoon or picture, think of a caption that sums up the picture. What is the problem that is highlighted in the image? 3. Play the trade game. After the game, create a blog post reflecting on: who won? why did they win? who controlled the game? What happened when the interest rate went up and down? What happened when the prices of commodities went up or down? Was there anything you found frustrating? Can this be linked to anything that happens in the real world? Extension Tasks 4.
